The Story of Admiralper
Most people do not know the story behind the nickname Admiralper.
When I was young, my father worked for the city of Omaha, Nebraska. My brothers and I received certificates from the city mayor and the governor naming us Admirals of the State of Nebraska.
It may not make me an admiral in the usual sense, but it has been a great conversation piece for a long time. I still say that when the entire east side of the United States falls away from the Mississippi River and Omaha becomes a Navy station, I want my back pay.
